With the Ohio Academy of Science Annual Convention slowly creeping it's way into my schedule, I began to realize that it is in my best interest to practice and have my presentation well versed prior to my big day. Therefore, I thought that it would be a great idea to participate in some science fairs and to hopefully make it to the District and State level competitions. Unfortunately, the Hilliard City School District does not have any high school level science events for me to participate in, so I reached out to other school districts with a local science fair in hope that I would be able to participate in one of them. Luckily, Worthington Schools replied and offered to allow me to participate in the Worthington Science Day on February 25. Although I won't be able to compete for awards/trophies, I will be given the opportunity to move onto the District (Central Ohio) Science Fair if my project receives a "Superior" grade. As a result, I've spent the last couple weeks hard at work coming up with my poster board for the upcoming fair. Working with my friends at the lab has helped me increase my spatial and organizational skills for me to incorporate into my poster. My skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and other expensive graphing programs have also made a dramatic increase. This is the result... Thankfully, I will be able to use the same exact poster at the Ohio Academy of Science Annual Convention.
